Publication date First published in Delle Chiaje plates volume in plate 28, fig. 21-24 with caption L. siphonostoma, but the date of this work is debated. It is possibly 1822 but possibly as late as 1830 after the text was published. [details]
Taxonomy Indeterminable. The name was recorded in the Hartman catalogue, p293, in Glyceridae as Lumbricus siphonostoma, following the entry for the genus Hemipodus, and partly referred to G. gigantea [details]From other sources
