Vertical - Single Net Vertical Tow
Description The sample is collected between two depths from a stationary platform; the collecting device is typically lowered to the deeper depth and the sample is collected while the gear is being hauled back to a second shallower depth or to the surface, i.e. samples on the way up; when using nets, vertical tows collect vertically integrated samples. No closing mechanism present.
