Description Colour in life: background fawn-grey with two to three irregular dark brown bands (including tubercles) across arms becoming paler towards tips, some of the larger tubercles, especially interradially, reddish surrounded by narrow black band, adorally, three or four sections of eight to ten furrow spines on each arm are pink (Humphreys, 1981).
