Rare in the marina of Zeebrugge, more and larger specimen sometimes present in the inner harbour and the waterway to Bruges. This indicates that the hydroid must be living in the inner harbour. It was possible to rear the hydroid from medusa collected in the Grevelingen in The Netherlands. The primary feeding polyp are relatively small and have many (12 - 20) tentacles, their base includes a small web.
