Reproduction One mature female observed in February-March 1961 near Roscoff (France), with pink oocytes in the last 12 chaetigers, from chaetiger 23. A mature specimen (sex not stated) was observed and filmed by Mrs. Dragesco and Swedmark in August 1957, with the last 12 chaetigers, from chaetiger 17, filled with sexual products. Another specimen with 12 chaetigers was regenerating the posterior region, probably after the separation of the stolon. Gidholm (1962) suggests reproduction by schizogamy during the most warm period of the year. [details]
