Editor's comment It is possible the name of Namalycastis glasbyi for this taxon is permanently unavailable from Fernando & Rajasekaran's (2007) paper under ICZN code Art.10.1 (conditions to be met for availability) which requires Art.16.4 to be adhered to, as both subclauses (explicit fixation of a holotype & statement of type deposition in a collection) are not fulfilled. In their investigation of the defects in the original article Magesh et al (2014) preferred to treat the name as available from 2007. [details]Neotype Magesh et al (2014) report types were not designated in the original publication, the original 4 specimens have been lost, and the original description was ambiguous. They created a neotype, collected from a locality very close to the original collection site.
