From editor or global species database
Nomenclature Lendenfeld (190&) gave rise to confusion over this 'species' by adding a hyphen between alba and tridens / alba and bidens in the two species (alba-tridens and alba-bidens>). These hyphens are not allowed in species names and the usual solution is to write the names in a single word without the hyphen (albatridens, albabidens). However, Lévi (1965) misinterpreted the hyphen and apparently assumed that tridens and bidens were intended by Lendenfeld as subspecific taxa of a species Cinachyra alba, which he expressly named. This misinterpretation causes C. alba to be a nomen nudum as there is no description nor illustration of C. alba. [details]
