Transfer authority This was erected without naming a species. Subsequently, the type species was indicated as Leiobolidium repletum Reiswig, 2000. Reiswig (2000) maintained that the name Leiobolidium Schmidt, 1880 is available because it matched the requirements of ICZN 12.1. However, it did not fulfill the requirements of ICZN 12.2.5 which demands that one or more specific names must be associated with the genus name. It is thus a nomen nodum and not available, Reiswig thus became the author of the name Leiobolidium when he reintroduced it in combination with the type species L. repletum [details]
