Editor's comment Carter (1883) in the remarks of the description of this species mentioned a second much larger specimen of this species from New Zealand. This likely not conspecific with this species and needs reassesment. [details]Lectotype BMNH Bk 706, 31 is an unregistered dried fragment in the BMNH collection which was elected as lectotype by Erpenbeck & van Soest (2002: 796).
