Nine species collected in very shallow waters at the São Sebastião Channel (South-Eastern Brazil) were studied. Among the species collected, one is an endemic species, two have a geo-graphical distribution that is restricted to the West Atlantic, and the remaining species are found in both Atlantic and Pacific waters. Didemnum ahu, D. granulatum, D. ligulum, D. lutarium, and D. perlucidum are recorded from Brazil for the first time.
