Taxonomic remark As discussed by Erséus (1981), Thalassodrilides milleri Brinkhurst & Baker, 1979, from Delaware (eastern U.S.A.), is very similar, possibly identical, to T. ineri. However, whether the two are the same species cannot be settled until new material of the former (preferably from the type locality) becomes available. If they prove to be a single taxon, the specific epithet milleri will take precedence as it was published a few months before the publication of Kaketio ineri (see Erséus 1981: 333). [details]
