From editor or global species database
Additional information Arango (1880: 169) does not explain the introduction of a new genus name, but he clearly states that Monstigma is a "gen"(us), and lists Rissoa striosa C. B. Adams, 1850 (= Zebinella striosa) as "M. striosa Ad." [SIC! = M. striosum]. I (MF) regard Monstigma as a junior synonym of Zebinella Mörch, 1876. It does not seem to have anything to do with the (pyramidellid) genus Monoptygma but it could be an error, as the word monostigma does not connect with any feature of the shell of Zebinella striosa.
