Part 6: The taxonomic studies on the polychaetes of the tropical Northwest continue and the studies on the polychaetes of the tropical-subtropical west eoast of Australia start with material collected in the region between Exmouth and Cervantes in October 11-24, 1975. 109 species were found; 65 of them were already known to science. 47 of these known species were already found by the author at the coasts between Derby and Exmouth in the Northwest (part 2 and part 4). 20 species and two subspecies are new and will be described and named. 16 species were determined with some doubt to species level, and six species were indeterminable to species or even generic level, due to incompletement or juvenility. Six species of the already known species are recorded from Australia the first time : Nereis coutieri, Marphysa posterobranchia, Polydora antennata, Prionospio sexocutata. Cirriformia punctata. and Dodecaceria berkeleyi. Another six species were new or probably new (because of no absolutely sure determination) to Western Australia: Malacoceros reductus, Polydora flava, Mesochaetopterus sagittarius, Caulleriella bioculata, Cirriformia tentaculata, Thelepus robustus
