Status Brady (1884) in his Challenger report referred the figures 4-5 plate 71 to Cristellaria aculeata d'Orbigny. Those figures...  
Status Brady (1884) in his Challenger report referred the figures 4-5 plate 71 to Cristellaria aculeata d'Orbigny. Those figures are now referred to Cristellaria subaculeata Cushman 1923, see Percultazonaria Loeblich & Tappan, 1986.
The figure of C. aculeata after Soldani in Parker et al. (1871) shows "no septation and no cristellarian aperture". Parker et al. were not even convinced that Soldani's figured a foraminifera. C. aculeata a fossil species is probably different from Brady's species. The varieties (Goës, Silvestri) refer to Brady's figures not d'Orbigny's species. [details]
