The discovery of rotalioids and globigerina-like foraminifera (Oberhauserellidae) in the Lower Toarcian of Teysachaux offers an important landmark in the phyletic trends of the first Jurassic Globigerinacea. This is one of the rare records of these foraminifers isolated from marls in the Liassic. The association includes discoidal low trochospiral tests (Oberhauserella quadrilobata, conical high trochospiral (Praegubkinella turgescens Fuchs, 1967) and a middle trochospiral species considered as new (Praegubkinella fuchsi n.sp.). A fourth phyletically evolved species showing transitional morphology to the middle Jurassic Conoglobigerina is described as Praegubkinella racemosa n.sp. The associated fauna comprises various benthic foraminifera but essentially dominated by Nodosariidae. -from English summary
