Nineteen species of Foraminifera, including six new species and a new genus, Penoperculoides, are described from a six inch layer located at Rancho Peñon, Matanzas Province, Cuba. This fauna which is dominated by discocyclinids is considered to be the approximate equivalent in age of the Lepidocyclina antillea-Pseudophragmina perpusilla zone of the Gulf Coast of the United States.
