Editor's comment The designation of a neotype (USNM 1185888, male) by Herranz et al. (2014) was not valid according to the ICZN (Article 75.2. and 75.3.), because the designation was done "en passant" without declaring why the designation became necessary, without describing any character, and without providing any of the statements required by the ICZN.
