Distribution Azores and Webbnesia islands (Madeira and Canary Islands); also occurring on the west coast of Morocco, on intertidal rocky beaches among green and red algae. Apparently not present on the island of Porto Santo (Madeira), being replaced by MOTU 8 of Teixeira et al (2022) [details]
Etymology Platynereis nunezi is named after Jorge Núñez (Universidad de La Laguna, Tenerife) [details]
