Etymology Hesiolyra heteropoda is named for "the shorter notopodia when compared with the neuropodia. In H. bergi and H. longqiensis n. sp., notopodia and neuropodia are similar in size." The adjectival epithet suffix is correctly '-poda' in agreement with feminine Hesiolyra [details]
