From editor or global species database
Taxonomy Sollas' type from 'Punta Arenas' originated from the Pacific coast of Costa Rica according to information from the label. The species has been frequently reported from Caribbean and West Atlantic localities, which specimens according to Van Soest (2009: 11) do not conform to Sollas' type. A recent report of the species from the Pacific side of Colombia (Lizaroza et al. 2021) unfortunately did not contain a description, so the issue remains unresolved. [details]
