Homonymy This is a junior secondary homonym of Pachychalina mollis (Topsent, 1897 as Cacochalina), but the present species is reassigned to Amphimedon thus removing the homonymy (ICZN Art. 59.2). See Van Soest et al. (2020) for further explanation.
The species is incertae sedis, possibly a junior synonym of Amphimedon viridis. [details]
