Taxonomy Geoplana multicolor for a longtime covered the material of two different species. "G. multicolor" mentioned by Marcus (1951), Froehlich (1955, 1956a, 1956b, 1958), Leal-Zanchet & Matos (2011) and Negrete & Brusa (2017; here as Paraba multicolor) actually refers to another species, descrbed as Paraparaba impositrix Rossi, Boll & Leal-Zanchet, 2024 [details]
