Since Lastočkin (1937) apparently regarded it as very similar to S. insigne Knöllner 1935, it is probably right to keep it as a 'species inquirenda' within Spiridion. S. scrobicularae has a median unpaired male pore, and might thus be closely related to (or synonymous with) S. modricensis (Hrabě, 1973) [details]
