Taxonomic remark Baker (1911) regarded the taxonomic identity of this Lamarck’s name as “unidentifiable”. The shell of the single syntype (see Mermod, 1952 for illustration) resembles shells of Racesina luteola (Lamarck, 1822). Possibly, the information about origin of this specimen (Virginia) was wrong and actually it was collected in India (Mermod, 1952). [details]
