Editor's comment The type locality of the species has been considered as "off the West Indies", probably with base on Hartman (1956: 259; see also Hartman, 1959: 280). This is incorrect, as according to Treadwell (1928: 471) the species was collected at "26° 10' north latitude; 56° west longitude, on Sargassum". This is located in the Sargasso Sea, as also stated in Hartman (1956: 281). [details]
