Editor's comment Apparently a label name by Marenzeller only. To my knowledge he did not publish about the Red Sea; in Grube there is no reference to Spirobranchus cristatus, only to S. cruciger and S. multicornis. The only species cristata at all in serpulids is Serpula cristata Lamarck, 1818, a fossil taxon. In view of the specific name, keeled, it is not impossible that the material belongs to S. tetraceros, its synonym multicornis has been mentioned by Grube from the Red Sea. [details]
