Diagnosis Test trochospiral, spiral side evolute, flattened, or slightly convex, chambers in two and a half to three gradually enlarging whorls, early whorls covered with later calcite lamellae, sutures curved back to the periphery, umbilical side strongly convex, involute, sutures curved, nearly radial, umbilicus closed, periphery bluntly angled; wall calcareous, optically granular, coarsely perforate; aperture a low interiomarginal slit, extending nearly to the periphery and about halfway to the umbilicus.
