Taxonomic remark originally in Monokonophora, Tanzanapseudidae was synonymized with Metapseudidae by Sieg, 1980 (but this was not accepted by other workers). Subsequently, it was reduced to subfamily rank (in Apseudoidea/ Metapseudidae) by Sieg, 1986, but was restored to family rank by Gutu, 1996 [details]
