Type locality Obidos, Portugal (39.361931, -9.157142). This town is some distance inland, not on the shore, and at least 5 km from the nearest marine embayment. Noting also that the geocoordinates in the paper refer to a location inland on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia (apparently as an East of Greenwich instead of West longitude given). The type locality is probably somewhat norwest of the town of Obidos. [details]
