Spirastrella regina, a replacement name for Spirastrella angulata Bertolino, Costa &
Pansini, 2019 from Costa et al. (2019). Here we correct incorrect information that was provided by Costa et al. (2019) on the name of the new species Spirastrella angulata Bertolino, Costa & Pansini, 2019. The name Spirastrella angulata was already used for the species Spirastrella angulata (Bowerbank, 1872) which, however, is not accepted in the World Porifera Database (van Soest et al., 2020); to avoid taxonomic misunderstanding we have decided to change the name of the species described by us
