Ecology Although many species of Tuoba are apparently halophilic or tolerant of halophilic conditions it seems that that this does not necessarily apply to all members of the genus as currently included. For instance, Tuoba benoiti (Matic & Darabantu, 1977) from St.Helena has been found at above 300m and not, as yet, recorded from the seashore (Ashmole & Ashmole, 2004). [details]
