Etymology Not stated by the author. The name of the genus could refer to Proclea (or Proklia), a mythological character of the classic Greece, described as being the daughter of Laomedon, King of Troy, or Klytius, son of Laomedon. She would have married Cycnus, King of Colonae and son of Poseidon, having two children, Tenes and Hemithea. Other versions state that Tenes was the son of the god Apollo. [details]
