Authority Sometimes referred to Lütken in Agassiz (1872) (e.g. by Rowe & Gates 1995, p. 249) due to the fact that Agassiz indicated "*Lütken MS. in litt." in a footnote when establishing the species and subsequently (Agassiz 1872-74, Revision of the Echini) himself named Lütken as author. According to ICZN regulations (Article 50.1 and 50.1.1.), however, Agassiz (1872) is to be regarded as author of the taxon. [details]
