Seven portions sectioned at intervals of 8 µm, comprising a total of 151 slides as follows: horizontal sections containing the head on 25 slides; horizontal sections on 15 slides and transverse sections on 6 slides of the portion between the “neck” and the pharynx; sagittal sections on 21 slides containing most of the pharynx; sagittal sections containing part of the pharynx and the copulatory apparatus on 35 slides; sagittal sections of two portions of the segment posterior to the copulatory apparatus on 15 slides and 34 slides.
