Six portions sectioned at intervals of 8 µm, comprising a total of 210 slides: horizontal sections of the head on 29 slides; horizontal sections on 27 slides and sagittal sections on 35 slides of the portion between the “neck” and the pharynx; transverse sections containing the pharynx on 35 slides; sagittal sections containing the copulatory apparatus on 54 slides; sagittal sections of the tail on 30 slides. The tip of the tail was cut off before sectioning, to be used for molecular analyses.
