Two portions sectioned at intervals of 8 µm covering a total of 47 slides: sagittal sections of the anterior part on 25 slides; sagittal sections of the posterior part on 22 slides. A prepharyngeal portion of 2 mm was cut off for the molecular analyses. Observations on the specimen cleared in clove oil already suggested that it was devoid of a copulatory apparatus, which was substantiated by examination of the histological sections.
