Comparison Differs from Poutalopsammia in having a costate, granular theca. [details]Diagnosis Corallum solitary, trochoid, attached; theca costate and finely granular; septa normally arranged, usually only 3 cycles; columella rudimentary or absent; azooxanthellate. [details]
Remark This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Genus monotypic. [details]
