Diagnosis authors: "Prostomium short, conical, with two dark brown eyespots and a distal palpode. Thorax with achaetous peristomium; first chaetiger with notopodia only and nine complete chaetigers, all bearing only capillary chaetae. Abdomen with multidentate hooded hooks in both rami, each with a main fang surmounted by more than 20 small teeth arranged in at least four rows. Branchiae absent.
