Dall (1920, p. 307), when discussing Terebratulina abyssocola, notes that the type material for T. radiata Reeve, 1860 is identical to T. abyssicola and thus a synonym. The T. radiata type material was also erroneously stated as being from Korea, when in actually it was from off Cape of Good Hope, South Africa (the same location as T. abyssicola's type material, and collected by the same person).
