Plectognathotrema hydrolagi n.sp. is described from the stomach of Hydrolagus colliei taken off Newport, Oregon, USA. It differs from related species in the apparent absence of Laurer's canal. Also, it differs from P. cephalopore in having a longer cirrus sac, a more posterior genital pore, more numerous and more extensive vitellaria, a lobed ovary and longer eggs; it differs from P. lobatum in having spherical testes, shorter caeca, a larger cirrus sac and more extensive vitellaria.
