Description Found in both coastal and oceanic waters. Seldom seen on reef flats. Length possibly to 193 cm. Feeds on fishes, squids, and octopus (Ref. 5213). Adults in about 80 m depth (Ref. 5485); juveniles in shallower waters. Viviparous, with 1 to 4 young in a litter. Size at birth about 65 to 75 cm. Aggresive towards skindivers with speared fish (Ref. 5485). Utilized for human consumption, fishmeal, and other shark products. [details]
