Seven species of marine Tubificidae are recorded from coastal waters of Victoria: Heronidrilus bihamis Erseus and Jamieson, 1981, Bathydrilus munitus sp. nov., Limnodriloides triplus sp. nov.. L. stercoreus sp. nov., L. problematicus sp. nov., L. cribensis sp. nov., and Marcusaedrilus assimilis sp. nov. The first-mentioned species is widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific, including tropical areas, whereas the new taxa are likely to be members of a temperate fauna of south-eastern Australia. Limnodriloides stercoreus and M. assimilis are reported also from New South Wales, and L. problematicus from New Zealand.
