A new mysid species representing a new genus is described. The new mysid is characterized by the small eyes fused to each other along the median line and lacking visual elements completely, the antennal scale without an apical lobe, the antennular peduncle with a ventral carina on the first segment, and the telson with lateral and apical median spines without an articulation at the base.
