Taxonomy Golvan (1959) recognised three subgenera: Pallisentis, Farzandia and Neosentis. Amin et al. (2000) also recognised three subgenera: Pallisentis and two new subgenera, Demidueterospinus and Brevitritospinus. Unfortunately, Demidueterospinus is based on the same type-species as Farzandia and therefore falls as a synonym of the latter. Perhaps the subgenera should not be recognised until a detailed revision. [details]
