Grubeosyllis celiae (Exogoninae; Syllidae; Polychaeta) from sandy bottoms off Ceuta, a Spanish city on the Mediterranean coast of Africa, is described. The new species is characterized by unusual dorsal cirri, the shape of its compound setae, and its unidentate capillary dorsal simple setae.
