Taxonomy This species was named by Felix Lorenz and Franz Huber, in Lorenz and Hubert (2000), who had died just prior to the publication of their second edition of A Guide to Worldwide Cowries. The similarity of the last names, Huber and Hubert, may cause confusion and lead the reader to think that Alex Hubert named a species after himself. The species description appeared toward the end of the volume. [details]
