Diagnosis Test small, ovoid to pyriform, 10µIT} to 14 µmin length; wall proteinaceous, brown, commonly with ferruginous surface encrustation; aperture single, rounded; opaque cytoplasm only partially filling the test, uninucleate, no contractile vacuole; pseudopodia short, delicate, granular and may branch; asexual reproduction by binary fission.
