The present material was collected by C. Berrisford at the Natal coast near Durban. It consists of 39 species. In zoogeographical view there are seven species endemic, five circumtropically and four worldwidely distributed species. 12 species are strongly restricted to sandy substrata and only one species lives on soft bottoms. The widely distributed species occur on different kinds of bottom
