Taxonomic remark Originally described as "Terebratula cruenta Dillwyn, 1817 (p. 295)", Dillwyn lists the genus Terebratula the page prior (p. 294), however this is seemingly regarded as part of Anomia(?) so it is unclear if Dillwyn regards Terebratula as a subgenus of Anomia. Later authors moved the species to genus Terebratella (e.g., Gray, 1853; Davidson, 1887). [details]
