In addition to the type species, one other nominal species, Antipathella contorta Brook (1889), is provisionally assigned to this genus. This species forms a more flabellate corallum with denser and more bilateral branchlets. As reported by Brook (1889), it has worm runs similar to those occurring in T. crispa, and was collected from the same general locality.
